1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the website operated by Changsha Ranzhi E-Commerce Co., Ltd. and your purchase of any cloth, homeware, plant-dye material or sample that we offer. By browsing the site, sending an enquiry or placing an order you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the site and do not place an order.

We have written these terms in plain language so that a buyer can read them once and know where they stand. Where a term is important to the outcome of a dispute we have said so plainly rather than hiding it in a long paragraph. Nothing in these terms is intended to remove a right that the law gives you and that cannot lawfully be removed.

These terms apply together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle information. Where the two documents meet, the Privacy Policy governs the handling of personal information and these terms govern the sale of goods and the use of the website.

2. Who We Are

Changsha Ranzhi E-Commerce Co., Ltd. is a dyed-goods e-commerce house that runs an indigo vat yard at Group 67, Huwan, Binghe Village, Guandu Town, Liuyang, Changsha, 410000, China (CN). We dip cloth by hand, oxidise it in open air, make indigo homeware, source plant dyes, run batch dyeing, check the shade and dispatch finished goods.

You can reach us at admin@ranzhiecom.buzz or on +19808428536. Our published business hours are shown on the contact page and all times are China Standard Time. Written enquiries reach the yard office and are usually answered on the next working day.

3. Eligibility to Order

You may order from us if you are of legal age to enter a binding contract in your own country and if you have the authority to do so, either for yourself or for the business you represent. By placing an order you confirm that the information you give us is accurate and that you are entitled to use the payment method you choose.

We may decline an order where we cannot verify the information, where the order appears to be fraudulent or unlawful, or where we cannot lawfully supply the goods to the destination address. If we decline an order after payment, we will return the amount paid to the same method used to make it.

4. Use of the Website

We grant you a limited, revocable right to view our website for your own purposes, whether personal or commercial. You may not copy the site wholesale, mirror it on another domain, or use automated tools to scrape it in a way that burdens our servers or misuses our content.

We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be free of interruption or error. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time, including a page that describes a service we no longer offer.

You are responsible for the equipment, software and connection you use to reach the site, and for keeping your own account details, where any apply, confidential.

5. Orders and Acceptance

A message or an online order is an offer to buy, not a completed contract. A contract is formed only when we confirm the order in writing after checking that we can dye, make and dispatch the goods you have asked for.

Because our work depends on the vat and the season, we may need to discuss the depth, the quantity or the date before we confirm. If we cannot meet a requested date we will offer the nearest realistic alternative rather than accept an order we cannot keep.

Once an order is confirmed we may still vary it where you agree, and any agreed variation will be recorded in writing so that both sides know what was promised.

6. Pricing and Payment

Prices are shown in the currency stated at the time of quotation and may change before an order is confirmed. A price quoted for a sample does not bind us to the same price for a full batch, because a larger run consumes more vat time and more labour.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, payment is due before dispatch of the goods. We may ask for a deposit for a batch dyeing run so that we can hold vat time, and the balance becomes due when the batch is ready to leave the yard.

You are responsible for any tax, duty, customs charge or fee imposed by your own country on the import of the goods. We cannot predict those charges and we cannot refund them, so please check the position before you order from abroad.

7. Colour, Shade and Natural Variation

Our goods are dyed by hand in an open vat. That method produces a living colour with gentle variation across a length and between one batch and the next, and it is a feature of the work rather than a defect.

A shade card, a photograph or a sample is a guide, not an exact promise of the cloth that will reach you. Screen settings differ, daylight changes through the day, and an indigo vat reads greener when wet and bluer when dry. We describe each batch as honestly as we can, and we encourage buyers who need a tight match to approve a sample before a full run.

Minor differences in depth, in the mottling of the field and in the tone at the cloth edge are normal. Where you need a closer match than the natural method allows, tell us before ordering so that we can agree a tolerance in writing.

8. Samples, Cards and Swatches

We are glad to send a shade card or a cutting before you commit to a batch. Samples are charged at a small fee that covers the cloth and the postage, and the fee is not normally refundable because the sample has been consumed by the act of sending it.

A sample shows the colour of a particular vat on a particular day. It does not guarantee that a later batch will be identical, though we will match as closely as the method allows and will tell you when we expect a small difference.

If you send us a cloth of your own to match, we will treat it with care and return it where you ask. We are not responsible for a sample that is lost in the post on its way to us, so please keep a record of what you send and use a tracked service for anything valuable.

9. Production and Batch Dyeing

Production times quoted by us are estimates made in good faith. Weather, the state of the dye plants, the resting time a vat needs and the drying time a cloth needs can all move a date, and we would rather take an extra day than rush a colour.

A batch dyeing run is reserved against vat time. If you cancel a reserved run after we have begun, we may retain the deposit to cover the vat time and the labour already given to the order.

We may substitute a comparable cloth where the cloth you ordered is unavailable, but only after telling you and receiving your agreement. We will never substitute a different fibre or a different method without your consent.

10. Shipping and Delivery

We pack and dispatch from the yard at Group 67, Huwan, Binghe Village, Guandu Town, Liuyang, Changsha, 410000, China (CN). Dispatch dates are estimates and begin to run from the moment your order is confirmed and paid, not from the moment you first write to us.

Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to your address or to the carrier you chose, whichever happens first, unless the law in your country provides otherwise. Title passes when we have received payment in full.

We are not responsible for a delay caused by customs, by a carrier, by a natural event or by an address that is incomplete or wrong. If a parcel is returned to us because it was not collected, we will contact you to arrange a fresh dispatch and may ask you to cover the second delivery cost.

11. Returns and Remedies

If goods arrive damaged or are not what was confirmed, please write to us within a reasonable time of delivery and keep the packing and the batch sheet. We will investigate and, where the fault is ours, we will repair the matter by re-dyeing, replacing or refunding the affected goods.

Made-to-order and custom-dyed goods are produced for you and cannot be resold, so they are not returnable simply because you have changed your mind. This does not affect your rights where the goods are faulty or were not as confirmed.

Where a refund is agreed, it is returned to the same payment method used for the original order, and any refund of shipping cost follows the rule of the platform or the law that applies to the sale.

12. Cloth Care and Washing

Indigo dyed cloth should be washed in cold water with a mild detergent, separately from light colours for the first few washes, because a little loose dye may run. Do not use bleach, do not tumble dry on high heat and do not leave the cloth soaking for a long time.

Dry the cloth in the shade and iron while slightly damp. The blue will soften and settle with use, and that slow change is part of the life of a natural dye rather than a sign of poor quality.

Homeware made from our cloth follows the same care. Following these notes helps the colour and the fibre last, and we are happy to answer a care question before you buy.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including the text, the layout, the shade names, the batch numbering system, the images and the design of the vat yard motif, belongs to Changsha Ranzhi E-Commerce Co., Ltd. or is used with permission. It is protected by the law that applies to such works.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish or distribute our content for commercial use without our written permission. You may share a link to our pages and you may quote a short passage with an attribution and a link back to the source.

Our name and any logo we use may not be used in a way that suggests a partnership or an endorsement where none exists.

14. Content You Send Us

When you send us a message, a photograph, a review or a sample, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not break the law or the rights of another person. You keep ownership of what you send us.

You grant us a non-exclusive right to use the content you send for the purpose of answering you, filling your order and, where you agree, showing an example of the work on our site. We will not use your photographs in public without your permission, and we will remove a piece of content from our site if you ask us to.

We do not accept content that is unlawful, misleading or offensive, and we may remove or refuse such content without notice.

15. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to misuse our website or our services. Prohibited conduct includes attempting to gain unauthorised access to any system, introducing malicious code, interfering with the normal working of the site, using the site to harass another person, and placing orders with no intention to pay.

Prohibited conduct also includes copying our content for a competing storefront, misrepresenting your identity or your business, and using our plant-dye materials in a way that breaches the law of your own country.

Where we believe that prohibited conduct has occurred, we may refuse service, cancel an order and report the matter to the relevant authority.

16. Third Party Services

We rely on third parties for hosting, email, payment and delivery, and our site may link to a marketplace or a service that we do not control. Those third parties have their own terms, and your use of them is governed by those terms rather than by this document.

We choose our suppliers with care, but we are not responsible for the independent acts or omissions of a third party. If a carrier loses a parcel we will help you pursue the matter, but our own responsibility is limited by the section on liability that follows.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of an order or the use of this website is limited to the amount you paid for the affected goods, together with any delivery cost that we charged for them.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost opportunity or damage to a project that used our cloth, unless the law does not allow that limit to apply. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any matter that cannot lawfully be limited.

Where the law of your country gives you a consumer guarantee that cannot be excluded, these terms do not remove it, and the guarantee applies in addition to what is written here.

18. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Changsha Ranzhi E-Commerce Co., Ltd., its people and its suppliers against a claim, loss or expense that arises from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the website, or your infringement of the rights of another person.

This indemnity does not cover a loss that is caused by our own fault, and it does not require you to defend a claim that we have settled without your agreement where that agreement was unreasonable.

The indemnity continues to apply after your order is complete, because a claim about misuse can arise long after the parcel has arrived.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the law of China, and the courts of Changsha have jurisdiction over a dispute that cannot be settled between us, unless the consumer law of your own country gives you the right to bring a claim nearer to home.

Before any formal step, we ask that you write to us at admin@ranzhiecom.buzz so that we can try to settle the matter directly. A written exchange usually resolves a question about a shade, a date or a delivery far faster than any other route, and it costs both sides nothing.

If a provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the terms continue in force, and the unenforceable provision is read in the way that comes closest to what both sides intended.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect a change in our practice, in our suppliers or in the law. The version that applies to your order is the version that was published when the order was confirmed, unless you agree to a later version.

When we make a material change we will place the updated terms on this page and adjust the date shown near the top. Continuing to use the site after an update means that you accept the revised terms.

21. Contacting Us

If you have a question about these terms, an order or a service, please contact Changsha Ranzhi E-Commerce Co., Ltd. at Group 67, Huwan, Binghe Village, Guandu Town, Liuyang, Changsha, 410000, China (CN), by email at admin@ranzhiecom.buzz, or by telephone at +19808428536 during our published business hours.

Please include your order reference where you have one and describe the matter clearly so that we can find the right record and answer you without a second round of questions. We read every message ourselves at the yard, and we will reply as soon as the working day allows.

Thank you for buying cloth that was dipped by hand, oxidised in open air and folded for sale, and for taking the time to read the terms that go with it.
